AGS – Protección Medida y Control, in collaboration with General Electric MULTILIN, finished the startup of a generator in Hugoton’s biomass power plant situated in Kansas State in the United States of America. The power plant itself produces ethanol and, on the other hand, cogenerates to produce electric power, generating 22 MW.
AGS’s mission was to test and supervise the generator’s electric protections (G60).
In spite of the adverse weather conditions of the winter, the availability of their protection engineers allowed the startup of the generator before the ending of 2013; this was the customer’s priority target, due to the requirements of the American government.
